Extended Care
Before-school care is available 7:30 am - 7:50 am, Monday-Friday.  Early arrival must be arranged in advance with the administrator.  After-school care is available after the School-Day dismissal and until 6pm.  MSL's extended care program is a continuation of the basic principles found in a Montessori classroom. Children learn and grow in a prepared environment that encourages reverence, respect, responsibility, and resourcefulness.  Children may participate in such activities as computers, organized games, arts & crafts, chess, yoga, music, dance, cooking, sewing as well as indoor and outdoor play.

For young children, enrollment in the extended care program is at the recommendation and discretion of the teachers and administration.  As with classroom placements, extended care enrollment is determined by the child's readiness.  Once a child turns four-years-old, the child is eligible to participate in MSL's after-school extended care provided the longer day is not detrimental to the child's successful acclimation and development in the Montessori setting.
