Support

At Montessori School of Louisville (MSL), we are no different from other schools that rely heavily on fundraising activities to achieve their annual operating budget. In fact, statistics show that schools similar to MSL generate an average of 20-30% of their annual budgets from fundraising activities.  MSL strives to keep tuition as affordable as possible for our students. Comparing MSL's tuition to other private schools in the Louisville area, reveals MSL to be a true value.

Building on Success
Fundraising activities enable MSL to invest in the beautiful Montessori classroom materials, provide professional development for teachers and to support continuous improvement efforts. Unlike at larger schools where it may be difficult to see the impact of your donations, MSL students directly benefit from your contributions and gifts.

To continue the success experienced thus far, MSL relies on the generosity and philanthropy of our community members, families and friends. We have developed a number of ways in which to financially support our school, including the Appeal from the Heart annual fund campaign and the annual Butterfly Benefit, an auction gala.  There are a number of ongoing sources of revenue that include rebates from purchases, such as Kroger Cards, BoxTops for Education and Montessori Services' For Small Hands catalog.

Annual Fund

Appeal from the Heart

MSL's cornerstone fundraising initiative is the annual fund.  Appeal from the Heart is our drive to solicit from each family whatever financial gift would be feasible given your personal situation. Any contribution is meaningful.

MSL is respectful of the fact that some families may not be able to contribute $350 throughout the year. That is why we encourage each family to reach out to those you know who also have an interest in seeing MSL succeed. Grandparents, friends who are considering MSL as an option, corporate partners, even those who simply want to see the Louisville community thrive.

Butterfly Benefit

MSL's hosts an annual gala event called the Butterfly Benefit.  The first Butterfly Benefit was held in February 2009 at the Muhammad Ali Center in Louisville, KY.  The event was conceived as a means of sharing the accomplishments of the MSL Community and highlighting the humanitarian work of both Dr. Maria Montessori and Muhammad Ali.  For more information about the 2011 Butterfly Benefit, please click here.
