MSL graduates have attended duPont Manual, St. Francis High School, and other public and parochial programs in the area.
MSL is the only SACS CASI accredited program in Louisville serving toddlers through middle school.
MSL launched the first Montessori Middle School in Louisville.
MSL is the only Montessori program in Louisville serving children 18 months of age through middle school. Older children serve as as role models in the school community.
MSL families commute from distances of 20-30 miles from areas such as Southern Indiana, Bullitt, Spencer, Shelby and Oldham counties. Families also walk and bike to school from nearby neighborhoods, such as Springhurst and Anchorage, and from other neighborhoods throughout Metro Louisville.
MSL is governed by a board of directors comprised of members representing Montessori educators, the community at-large and parents of currently enrolled students and former students.
MSL students embrace "green" practices by participating in recycling, composting, trash-free lunches, washing reusable cups, utensils and plates, as well as laundering reusable cloths.
MSL students bring their lunch to school and snacks are served in the mornings and in the afternoons. MSL offers several lunch options regularly throughout the year as classroom fundraisers, including deliveries from Panera, Zoe's Kitchen and Snappy Tomato pizza.
