Welcome to the Montessori School of Louisville

Dear Families,

Igniting the Love of Learning in our children is the central theme that guides us here at Montessori School of Louisville. Our small class sizes led by certified Montessori staff experienced in the Montessori Method of teaching, allows us for to focus on the individual interest of each child entrusted to us.

The Montessori Method allows children to learn through hands-on experiences, which are differentiated to meet each child's needs. Children are introduced to a variety of concepts and experiences in their carefully prepared environments. By sparking their imagination, students develops scientific and critical thinking working skills. They learn through their interactions with each other good manners and courteous behavior. In our school’s safe environment, our children are nurtured and thrive socially, emotionally and intellectually.

Whether you are new to our school or an old friend, we welcome you and encourage you to be involved in the MSL community. Through the course of the school year, we invite you to share your talents and your cultural backgrounds with our children that help in further broadening their worldview. We encourage, cultivate, and enjoy this interaction. As Dr. Maria Montessori said, “The essential thing is to arouse such an interest that it engages the child’s whole personality.”

I am proud to be leading our school and even more proud of our community-staff, parents, and students. Each member is important to the success of our programs. Each day we come to work, we feel blessed to work in an environment of incredibly talented individuals with a capacity for hard work, and a concern for others’ well being.
